OKAY GIRLS I SAW THE LIST OF QUESTIONS.
I HAVE THREE DAYS OFF WORK, SO I'LL FIND SOME TIME TO TAKE PART IN THIS SURVEY.
LEAVE IT TO SHERRY TO FIND THIS. ITS INTERESTING.
DOING LAUNDRY AND COOKING TODAY.
TOMORROW I WILL GO OVER TO MANDY'S AND VISIT.
THE GRANDKIDS ARE THERE. MABEY TAKE THEM  BACK TO MY HOUSE FOR THE NIGHT.

You asked about the money here; the currency is called rupees. The value is quite far below our dollar. For example: 38 r = $1 Can. and everything is priced cheaply. For a week's groceries, I give the houseboy 1000 rupees which is about $25. The other day I bought a really nice bedside reading lamp, 2 soft pillows with covers, and a light quilt, and the total was about $18 Can. Imported goods are expensive, however, but I'll only need to purchase wine, gin, etc. from the import store. I plan to bring a lot home with me and leave all the books I brought here for future faculty to use. So, a foreigner can live very cheaply here. The airfare is very high, but once here, it's a great place. The houseboy, for example, makes 2500 rupees/mth which is $65 Can. paid by the college. And we don't pay for our apartments either. I'll write more later. B.
