A/N: This is my favorite chapter in a while. (It's been pretty grim, hasn't it?) Also, huge thanks to everyone who's commented-I never realized how much it really makes a huge difference in writing when you feel like you're talking to someone. Y'all have been great someones.

Great setup!!! I'm so excited...Lee finding the Horn that Kara left for him. And the survivors asking for him by name????

I can't wait to see what happens cuz I have no idea.

Also, isn't Gaius kind of like a cockroach...you just can't kill the guy!!!

Gaius is the ultimate cockroach! I may have broken with canon, but he'd be a whole different character if I didn't give 'im a thousand chances in the form of one position of prominence after another (and another).

Cannot wait to see what becomes of all those people trapped down there, and what results because of it. This is a story that I really have no idea where to expect upcoming twists and turns, and that fact alone is amazing.

Whenever I read a chapter of this story I think I can't believe how good this is, and that I get to read it for absolutely free. I've started and stopped so many books as of late because they just don't capture my attention or something about the writing is off. You're an incredible writer and as always, I can't wait for more!

Hooray! I'm so happy the twists and turns are still fun. There's really only a handful left ahead, two of which are pretty big. All the hard stuff to hang with--because it's about delving backwards into canon and making sense of it--is here in Act II.

Act III should be a breeze (she said confidently, equipped with all of four lines on an outline to tell her how she was going to write it...).
