Chapter 20, "Between Life and Death"
Word Count: ~2,900
Rating: PG
A/N: Whew. It's a relief to publish this. This chapter explains a lot, I think. Kurt Vonnegut says good fiction doesn't require suspense, just characters you like. I think I might have been keeping too many secrets from y'all! So here are some. Enjoy 'em.

That's terrific. I'm still a little confused about all the other stuff but I'm so pschyed about Lee and Zak...

I had to giggle a little at Lee once he goes through the malestrom because I could only imagine him having a Dorothy Gale moment ("I just kept saying 'I want to go home, I want to go home', and they sent me home") when he arrived in the "in between."
Playing with the time travel!! Super exciting, I can't wait to see where this goes!
And look at PapAdama being all snarky and sarcastic even when his life is on the line. I really dislike the colonials right now, I'm so Team Fleet!
I can't wait for the next update, it's been pretty slow in the fandom, I feel like I'm going through withdrawals as if fic was smack!

It's been super-slow in fandom; I know what's happening on my end is a deluge of work and social life and awesome weather, and maybe that's everyone? I'm hoping this isn't the shape of things to come!

You are making my head spin. I think I am going to have to reread this whole story when you are done to make sure I got everything. Oh how i would love to see the plan you had when you started writing this! Everything's so crazily intertwined.
Can't wait for the rest.
