I actually loved the twist on Zak because it is so different than nearly everything we've seen or read but still very plausible.
On a less serious note, I also Loved hearing about Anders in the background. It made me chuckle.

The Anders thing... I just think it's so strange and interesting, how much he was a Famous Person who must have always been there in the background, on the sports page of the newspaper that Kara's mother was reading in *her* flashback before her Viper blew up, etc. They don't really do much with that; I guess Gaius Baltar's all the Famous Person they can handle.

This chapter was...dense and chewy. Whole lotta emotional truths to think about. Truth be told, Maelstrom has always been one of the toughest episodes for me to take, but you did a lovely job of drawing Lee's parallel path through to understanding. And their reentry/reunion was, indeed, a gripping scene! <3
