band trend, no apocalypse

Is Live's new album all Christian or what? It's called "Birds of Pray" and the lyrics to that first single really smack me the wrong way (though I do like the video). Is this a new trend?? When did Jesus take over commercial music?? Creed, Evanescence, Lifehouse, and now there are born-again bands? I don't like this trend. Christianity and art do ( Read more... )

I KNOW. I love Evanescence, but their way of sneaking in Christianity into their songs is really starting to get to me.

And that is why Fiona Apple is so bloody fabulous. ...At least, I'm pretty sure she doesn't have any hidden messages in her songs.

Creed, Evanescence, Lifehouse, Live... not that i want to defend christianity but i dont think its them being christian that makes all these "bands" suck unconditionally ( ... )

lol 50 tickets!! Geez. That is kind of creepy how everyone started liking them, cause I can also remember them being around for a while. Creed is just this big, bloated, generic thing that people only like because MTV told them to.

Yeah, Creed and Lifehouse fall into the category of schmuck rock, Evanescence is just so trendy you could die, and Live--well I liked early Live. Now I don't care.
