Sorry, I have no idea. :( All I can think of is Gabriela Kulka's song "rolemodels," which advises "your role models lost their faith in their role models a long time ago." Which I think is a very true and important thing to realize.

Hey! That was in Stephen Bonnycastle's book. He was basing his stages on Vico's four stages of development. Hope this helps and that you still have that (kinda stupid) book. I liked that part too. I'd write more but I have that book packed up for school.

aha! yes, Vico in Bonnycastle! for the life of me, i would never have remembered that.

as for Bonnycastle's book. . . i never actually *Owned* it. but don't tell Marc that!

I actually kind of liked some of the stuff in Bonnycastle's book (the stuf i actually read, that is) for a basic Intro to lit theory and crit.
