I know I must be the last one to know, but just in case there's someone else out there who also has been living under a rock lately, GO CHECK THIS THREAD. It's full of pretties already, both for The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. I kind of wish I had never found it because my Downloads folder is going to hate me even more after I've finished downloading

Guess I've been under a rock too :)

Though I have seen some of the TS3 gifts but only because I visit My Sims 3 Blog, I don't generally go to GOS very often at all.

For the layout.... You could just find a more wintery or just neutral background, and you'd be all set :) Then perhaps you'd want to change the colour of the links to a matching colour, but that wouldn't be hard to achieve. The colour of the background of your posts is neutral, after all.
Except if you want to make something completely different for a change ;D
