I haven't heard of the yarny.me before. It looks like a useful site, though I'm wary of writing online, dunno why.

My writing environment is the kitchen. I have a laptop in my room, with the internet and stuff, but for writing I use the laptop in the kitchen. Best time to write is after six pm. I sat down in my corner, put on the headphones and start some playlist. Then I open an empty document and a translator and ponder a while about how to start, etc. Finally I write. The main reason I do it in the kitchen is because there are absolutely no distractions. No way for me to check my mail, or play some online game:-)

I used to write in Focuswriter but I need the Translator several times during the writing and it was getting kinda frustrating to close down the window everytime. OpenOffice is just great.

It's a good idea to write without internet... I wish I could do it. I keep sneaking off to one site or another :)

But then I couldn't use Yarny. I wasn't very sure about it either, but I tried it out (a lot of people were using it for nanowrimo) and I've gotten used to it. It's just so much easier to have all my notes one click away... And I can access my writing from anywhere. Plus it frees up a lot of my hard drive!

Sorry, it sounds like I'm giving you the hard sell here... I'm just happy with it :)
