I thought truth was "veritas"? Vera is apparently an adjective, declension of "vere", which is more like "true". Or is it from "verum", which is still not quite right, I think...

vere : in fact, real, true.
vere : truly, really, actually, rightly
veritas : truth
vero : in truth, indeed, to be sure / however
verum-i : truth, truly, in fact
verus : true, real, proper, right

Am I totally off-base here? I only studied Latin briefly, I took Greek instead. But yeah, that third version of the logo was coolest.

As far as I understand it, vera is the feminine version of verus thus representing the spiritual place of the church as the Bride of Christ and potential for truth.

Verus is definitely an adjective... I think. I'll check my Latin dictionary when I get home, but I'm pretty sure the word you want is veritas.

I mean, assuming it matters to you... I'm the kind of anal jerk who would wrinkle my nose at those silly boys misusing Latin, but not everyone feels the same way.
