I started looking at Panoramio randomly about a half hour ago and saw this beautiful picture of Antelope Canyon in Northern Arizona. It's part of the Navajo Nation, so to find out where it was I clicked on the link leading to the map of the Navajo Nation. Sigh... history books... well, more to the point "elementary education". It brings up all sorts of questions about how much we should shelter children versus how much information they can handle and still be alright. That sort of thing happens in math, too, when they tell you that you can't take a big number away from a little number and that negative numbers don't exist (but they magically start existing when you get to middle school). Yes, it's really tough. Especially when it comes to the situation with Native Americans. I have a feeling that if adults were less poetic about Natives that we might see some progress in Native causes in the next generation...

I'm sorry to hear that your dog is unwell :/ How old is she?
