Went shopping today with the Weegie PN lot in Edinburgh - German market, various shops and ummm... a giant caterpillar!!!! I bought some more Xmas/Yule pressies, and it was great to meet 'em all even if I was the only Edinburgher there. Afterwards I went to Pagan Mouth, which had a pretty good turnout. Unfortunately I have noticed a considerable amount of anti gay feeling within wicca and neo-paganism. I have heard it is because of the 3rd initiation - the Great Rite. Many feel that it cannot be done by 2 men or 2 women and so those people would never be able to progress to 3rd degree, and therefore a position of responsibility.
I personally think it is a bag of shite and its no bloody wonder PF is haemorrhaging members faster than rats off a sinking ship. It would be interesting for someone to ask them right out what their policy about gay marriage is, and to see them at least become public about it, but like CoA and other largish pagan organisations they seem to be better at hemming and hawing and ending up not saying anything at all.

I can't believe they've done that. I knew Sandy was upset at not being able to marry the couple but I didn't know the PF had refused to renew her license because of that. They need to take their heads out of their arses.

I was thinking of joining the PF. Not anymore. Maybe I should write them a letter explaining exactly why I'm refusing to join.

You know my opinion on the whole issue. I'm going to ask PN if they'll put me forward for a temp license when I marry Chaz and Colin.
I'm sick of dealing with the PF just now.

If Sanday still wants to mary them she could apply for a Licence from the General Register Office For Scotland in Edinburgh (marriage@gro-scotland.gov.uk)
