I think I'm at my wit's end - I have got home to find out that my housemate (who, just a week ago, admitted to abusing heroin and then threatened me with a pair of scissors because I refused to lend him £30) has stuck his pet gerbil in the washing machine. I was about to put a load of washing in a few minutes ago and I saw its lifeless, soap-

Nobody told me any 12.00 noon rule when I live in Northern Ireland, maybe they don't observe it there - which is why I did not realise its existence...
