Did you look at the healthcare.gov exchange? We're in the open enrollment period for 2015, and the Supreme Court hasn't yanked the subsidies yet.

When I go unemployed, I never use cobra. Cobra has always been outrageous. I look for the high deductible catastrophic stuff, which, in AZ 15 years ago, was $40 a month. If you don't have any special needs.

the single payer system wouldn't have made medical cheaper, it would've just shifted the cost to taxes. Not sure how much relief that would've provided, since the authors appear to have been evil idiots.

well the catastrophic insurance ia like $200 instead of $450.... and I need to go to counseling so I wouldn't actually save any money.
