No, it won't.
You are not going to like what I'm going to say, but the truth is that when you like or love someone, there's nothing you can actively do to make it go away.
If the love isn't corresponded and nurtured, it will die faster, yes, but there's nothing you can do, really.
Just wait, let it be, don't try to force it out of your system, because by doing so, you are feeding it, if you go on with your life, acknowledging it but not really acting on it, eventually, it will go away.

It's natural to feel that way... or at least, compare the new person to the one you liked/were comfortable with/etc., because you know what you want so you're going to constantly be looking for that in a new person. As much as you might want to Eternal Sunshine her out of your mind, you can't, you just have to accept the situation as what it is and move on with your life and HAVE FUN because I tell ya, and I've learned this myself and I don't want you to have to learn the hard way too, but having fun is WAY BETTER than the feelings you're feeling now!

It's a funny ass book, if nothing else, but... it might help.

*hugs* Chin up. It hurts, but you will survive... time goes on, life goes on, and you can and WILL bounce back from this crappy feeling you're feeling. Promise.
