This episode was so depressing to me I find it hard even to discuss it. :(

I wholeheartedly agree with you that the showrunners have put Clark's through TOO much already! I want to see him smile, I want to see him feeling loved and happy and accomplished... I hate to see him feeling guilty, helpless, angered, lonely... I know that on a TV show we must have conflict but we need humor too and some light and happy moments... The show is off balance right now.

I'm not fond of the Veritas plot line. I fear that it will detract even more from the original premise and from what should be the focus of the show. I agree that, at least, Clark should be actively involved in it, otherwise there's no point in introducing it at such a late stage. IMO.

I'm scared that's what it'll do, too. But since I think they are actually putting effort into it, I'm willing to see how they go with it for a little while.

Completely agree with you on the Clark stuff. It's just so - ugh, frustrating.

The Veritas storyline has me intrigued at the moment, so I'm definitely willing to see where it goes. There's a lot of questions it brings up but at the same time it gives way to some interesting observations as well, so I'm on board. For now.

But hey, TW was pretty damn awesome wasn't he? That too, in an ep where he could have so easily faded into the bavkground, given the context of some of his scenes.

Yeah. I would just like for him to be happy again.

I feel the same way.

It just goes to show how TW has really grown over the show. He even stands out when he character isn't doing anything of much consequence.

Ever since I was shot in Detroit, i've been having flashes of things I've forgotten" -- I have to admit that this does make me a bit excited because it really does make me wonder if they're going to have Lex remember what he saw Clark do in "Shattered". I do believe that by the end of this show, Lex will know who Clark really is.

It’d be spectacular if that is how it plays out.

Another part of the Veritas storyline that I love the idea that everyone was destined to be there that day in Smallville. Even though I think it would've made previous seasons' storylines more logical had we already known about Veritas, I think it'll be interesting to rewatch the entire show knowing what we know now. It does add an interesting layer to the story and puts a twist on things we know or thought we knew.

It makes me almost want to brave S4 again. I do like this new plot twist. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, but the more I think about it, I think it’s a cool concept for the very fact that it makes all of these seemingly innocuous plots and ( ... )
