Subject: Song Drabbles
Pairings: Various pairings from Infinite
Genres: Mix of Fluff and Angst
A/N: This isn't the iPod Shuffle Drabble Challenge; I just felt like writing, and decided to make drabbles based on the songs I come across on shuffle. I used a longer amount of time than the song's duration to finish these. ^^
1. Hoya/Dongwoo - Intro-Phone (2AM); WC: 227; Angst
The phone is ringing.
Ring.
Ring.
It won’t stop.
All Hoya can hear is his own heavy breathing echoing almost painfully against the receiver.
The empty background signals him that Dongwoo isn’t going to answer his call anytime soon.
In, out, in, out, his lungs dictate. He finds all that he can give in the very breaths he takes, in the silence of the room. He still gets nothing.
Ring.
Ring.
It’s so eerily quiet, save for the desolate sound of the phone trying to connect to another person (somebody who doesn’t want to grab on anymore.) The room (Hoya’s heart) is so lacking of the laughter that roars through the hallways, stripped bare of giggles hushed in the middle of night when it’s just the two of them.
Ring.

Hoya knows Dongwoo wants him to stop trying. There just isn’t a point to it anymore.
Hoya lets his fingers unclench as the blood in his veins runs cold. He finds the marble floor comforting (or maybe he’s just desperate for something, anything, to hold him).
He screams a wrenching cry of pain, heart ripped and torn and plain broken. It resounds against the walls and bounces off picture frames of happier times, way back in the past.
He never hears an answer, only a monotonous dial tone.
2. Woohyun/Sunggyu - Snowy Wish (SNSD); WC: 307; Fluff
Sunggyu closes his already-too-small eyes as he raises his face up to the snowy sky, the snowflakes gently patterning the corners of his lips with cold ice water.
A small smile adorns his face as he recalls back to a myth Sungyeol mentioned sometime the other day. Something about your wish coming true if you make it on the day of first snow. Sunggyu simply brushed the choding off that evening, but that evening didn’t have white powder coating the streets in what looked like cotton candy.
He lifts his hand up to catch one of the miniscule flakes, but instead finds a colorful mitten wrapped around his own. A cheesy smile and even cheesier eye-smile greets Sunggyu, the cheeks of the other dusted off with a shade of pink characteristic to winter in Korea.
Did you miss me, hyung? Woohyun says as he makes ridiculous faces that are meant to be cute. Sunggyu only laughs.
No, I didn’t, Woohyun-ah. Woohyun hits Sunggyu playfully on the arm, but his eyes show a bit of the insecurity he desperately tries to hide. Sunggyu feels like kissing all of Woohyun’s worries away, because honestly, the younger shouldn’t even be thinking about any of those rotten things.
How could I miss you when you’re always in my mind? Sunggyu grins and Woohyun’s pink cheeks turn to a dangerous shade of red, all the blood rushing to his face.
The greasy man tugs at the other’s arms, pulling Sunggyu into a bone-crushing hug and hiding his face in the crook of Sunggyu’s neck. I always wish for you, Woohyun-ah, Sunggyu says as he kisses the top of Woohyun’s head. The Christmas air is then filled with the beautiful music (at least to Sunggyu it is) of Woohyun’s mirthful laughter, the light flurry of snow gently swirling around the glowing street lamps.
3. Myungsoo/Sungjong - Hyeya (Y Si Fuera Ella) (SHINee); WC: 222; Angst
There isn’t anything in Sungjong’s voice, no traces of regret, of sadness, of loneliness. There’s only optimism, only the usual giggles and light laughter, only the bright rays of sunshine that pierce through Myungsoo’s carefully constructed brick wall. Like it doesn’t matter to the maknae, like it’s something that was bound to happen anyway, so why sulk over it?
Hyung, I’m leaving. Myungsoo looks up in disbelief, expecting to see a flood of tears from the younger, expecting to comfort Sungjong and tell him everything’s going to be alright (anything to hold him in his arms). But Sungjong is too carefree, flashing his youthful smile just a bit too brightly. He’s beaming at Myungsoo, and it hurts the older boy. It forces him to hold the lump in his throat down.
And even on the day that Sungjong is leaving, there are only bunny hops and cat ears on the maknae, heavily opposing the dragging of Myungsoo’s feet (he doesn’t let Sungjong realize it though). Sungjong waves his hands as a final gesture of goodbye, and Myungsoo could only smile weakly, lips turning up at the corners. Just barely.
It dawns on Myungsoo that he never really said I love you, never really made that known to the dense younger one. But it’s best for them, he thinks. It’s also too late.
A/N: I have been trying to improve my writing style, but it's not working out too well. OTL I got inspired to write these today, and so I did. ^^
Comments and criticisms are very much appreciated! ^^
