Artist Notes: When I sat down to draw I was thinking more Adult!Military!Ed, but Badass!Fem!Ed demanded more screentime, so here she is. :I
And before anyone says anything, I know the outfit is ENTIRELY illogical. Ed's reasons for wearing the leather pants are the exact reasons he wouldn't be wearing a leather miniskirt; namely, he likes his ass and he would like to keep it in the event he is dragged 40 feet across stone by some freakish chimera, but I have wanted to draw Fem!Ed in this outfit or something similar since forever, so here is her short, sexy little self. xD
Also, Ed, you naughty girl, are you even wearing a bra? I was halfway through the picture before I even noticed. xD
I don't know shit about shading metal. Or leather. Or much of anything, for that matter, so please don't kill me? D: And I know Ed's supposed to be all tan, but I don't have a marker for that yet, so here she hasn't seen the sun for ten years, kay? (:
Someday I'll get a white pen to do highlights with, but for now apparently Ed's hair hasn't been washed. Too much traveling (somehow without ever coming in direct contact with sunlight) and not enough showers, I guess. (And I know she's supposed to be missing a leg, but it wasn't until after I started coloring that I realized this, so it was decided that after Brotherhood, instead of getting the arm back she got the leg back; it's opposite to go with the whole genderbend thing. Got it? Good.)
The entire time drawing this I was listening to 'She's a Rebel' by Green Day because it just felt like the song to be listening to and it reminds me so much of Fem!Ed. C: So that pretty much set the mood for the whole thing. Seriously, go find it and then come back and stare at this some more. Totally awesome.
After I finished I decided the background needed something but then I just jacked it up, so ffffffffff.
So there you have it, I hope this has been an informative lesson on why you shouldn't let dumbasses near Copic markers, or art supplies in general. (: Have a good day!
