Allison is gone

Yesterday I said goodbye to Allison. It was truly one of the hardest things I have ever done. Danielle said it was like loosing a part of her and I completely agree. There is a picture of Al over my computer of us when we are about to devour a pizookie, everytime I look up there I wish she was here again and that we were planning our next big ( Read more... )

Ah man...I'm sure that was definitely hard for you and especially Danielle as she has lived with Al. Saying goodbye is so hard, and I wish it was one of those things that gets better with practice, but it doesn't. Regardless, I think you learn something from everyone you meet, whether knowingly or inadvertently, and you become a changed person. (Isn't there a quote like that or something?) And sometimes it takes them to move out of of your life before you can truly see the difference they have made.

Anyway, I was posting with the intention of leaving you with some cool words, but I can't think of anything overly profound.

Please take care of yourself, General, and have an awesome week!

Its odd to think that these people are really gone. It was easy to get past this year because I didnt know very many seniors, and to be honest the ones I knew best then were not SigEps, but Gamma Phis. This year it was much harder, all of those who graduated were simply special people. There was something about the qhole lot of them. Allison is an amazing person and she will be missed. Just remember Robyn that you are an amazing person. I've never once heard anyone say a negative thing about you. You'll never have a friend quite like her again, and thats ok, because each close friend we have teaches us something different about life.

“The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson-
