the bit I always remember is that they were planting 'stuff' in the strata of planet crusts to be found by archeologists of the future who would then scratch their heads wondering WTF at finding the equivalent of a star trek bioscanner in a strata from when their planet had only their equivalent of apes...

can soo see Jack laughing himself silly at the idea of torturing future Daniels..... omg.. now I'm seeing him and Si' plotting together... oh dear
