more or less on a whim, i emailed my dad to see if he'd be interested in attending the sunday of the summer camp music festival in chillicothe, illinois over memorial day weekend. a small consolation for not attending the reunion but a little music out of the weekend nonetheless. he instantly emailed me back, inquiring about ticket prices, and

(my dad wrote me an email the other day telling me about him and my mom getting some MATCHING TSHIRTS. al;dskfj ew heeeeeeee. but then he was like "they are pretty neat, man." LIKE...he actually wrote PRETTY NEAT, MAN. to ME. i was like daaaaaaaaaaaaad oh dad-dork. OH HOW I LOVE THEE.)

i'm so excited about yonder. they're only playing for an hour and a half but that's okay b/c today i got my ticket for the NORTHWEST STRING SUMMIT (courtesy of the co-op) which means THREE nights of ymsb. it's a festival the band's been throwing for several years. it takes place in oregon and i've always wanted to go but living in the midwest it wasn't feasible 'til now. it's happening the last weekend in august at a private venue where wild peacocks roam freely. i can't wait.

but the northwest string summit looks amazing! and i LOVE that the menu links on their website are shaped like violin/viola/cello/bass bridges!
