Hadley: The Preferred Sookie

Ha. The movie channels strike again. I ended up watching Quills with a younger Steven Moyer in it, the other night. And since I rarely think of True Blood, I had my one and only epiphany on how I think it will go this season. I reckon, in True Blood style, Bill will stake himself as B1000 - which will wrench the heart of every fangirl (either up or ( Read more... )

I have just read through your post in its entirety. First time through I stopped half way as I was in the midst of rereading DD. I wanted to finish the book and come back to your post...it's just taken me longer than I expected! (So who knows if you'll even see this ( ... )

Ooh, so please to come across this post.
Had been looking for a new series of books to read. So have borrowed Odd Thomas. Only just started, but I want to keep reading, which is a major plus for me, as these days books have to grab me quickly or lose me!

Odd Thomas is like Sookie's personality. A little bit different, but he also has Elvis in there! :D And the first book is currently being made into a movie. And I just finished "Deeply Odd" and it's epic. :D

Read and really enjoyed. Forever Odd is waiting at the library for collection. Even hubby read it and was completely suprised by the ending.

Told him Chekov was playing Odd, which confused him as he thought he was "too old". Err wrong Chekov sweetie, the new one ;)

It's great - the same sort of social class as Sookie, and Odd has such a gentleness. I'm glad that your husband liked it too - I've got Son2 hooked on Odd. :D

Lol - my husband would probably say the same thing. And then he'd misinterpret and think Odd was a Chekov novel, and recommend something else he's read. :D
