Wish Versus Wish

I posted about this on Random Fandom Forum, and I figured I better say it here too, just to get it out of the way. I like to keep my thoughts in one place, and on the off chance someone asks about it here. Also, it's a celebratory day, as I just got my print copy of Dead Ever After, which apparently came all the way from the Netherlands. That's ( Read more... )

This makes a lot of sense. I’d figured it had something to do with Cope’s desire to get hold of a magical object that Amelia was interested in. But it’s a lot more than that. He’s smarter and more scheming than Tyrese, whose wish didn’t work out at all. Only the best for Cope.

Amelia deserves a lot of credit for having survived him. Magic is perfect for her, really. It’s devious enough, but constructive too. And she has the talent for it.

In DEA, Sookie was extremely blunt w/ Amelia, like I think I hadn’t seen since she first met Amelia (when Amelia broke into Hadley’s apartment while Sookie was sleeping). Well, excluding the fallout from the Alcide blunder.

It’s a pretty cover. Mine finally came too. ;) Still no Oddie. JanineMNM

I'm sure that that played a role in it all. It's sheer exclusivity would have played a role in it too.

I think so too. Really, it's amazing that she didn't end up getting his justification in her head - and that she didn't seek his approval, or worry about losing her inheritance.

You're right. Sookie was extremely blunt. And I was glad she stood her ground through Bob's glares. I think Amelia really needs to stop thinking about how to spin things for herself using the lives of others.

But wait! It's been out for ages! I'm 3 books down since then. It's good though - really good.

I searched on a couple of online retailers and in the bookstore--but they're all saying May 28. And I won't get it until June.

Oh that's really sad. Maybe they're giving Australia special treatment. Which would be nice...for me anyway. :D
