There is a sort of thing that's been bothering me about the internet for a while. Like, quite a while. It's this whole popularity thing, these internet celebs/winners that have always mystified me. It's becoming less of a mystery. ( Read on for the implications of Fred and Daxflame )

I just watched Stephen Fry's What I Wish I'd Known When I Was 18. Loved it!

Interesting thoughts you have here, also.

Very interesting thoughts, especially the bit about simplifying entertainment into labels to make it super relatable for everyone. Me and Chris were just talking about the other day how people can seemingly fall in lust for made up characters, especially when they're from anime or comics where they're not even drawn to resemble humans, but are so simplified (our example was Inu Yasha) to the point where you could almost just draw a stick figure. Our conclusion was that it was likely that people falling for characters like that could do it because there are so many gaps they can fill in themselves?

I haven't seen that Stephen Fry "Things..", but the title reminds me of this website, dunno if you've seen it.
