So im back in Ann Arbor having just come home from my third class thus far things seem to be looking good. I am actually really excited to start work on all my classes and thats smth after last years slump where i really did not give a shit. It feels like freshman year a bit with every class i see countless possibilites , with every professor

how's 20th century russian lit?? sounds amazing....i wish i had time to take a class like that. is Zamyatin on your list? currently reading We -- although the premise didn't sound extraordinarily original, his writing style is very much his, which is awesome.

anyway, just wanted to share a few funny sentences we've been learning in russian to practice the prepositional case:

Prepadavatsil: Chto vi znayetse ob albanskoe grammatike?
Masha: Ob albanskoe grammatike? Ya nichevo ne znayu ob albanskoe grammatike.

of course, if you were Masha, you'd be saying, "yeah, bitch, i know my albanian grammar!" haha. i don't think any of the rest of us will ever be using that sentence in our lifetime, though. :)

Thats really a sentence you encountered ? I cant beleive it ! That would have been my favorite sentence had we had it . A little note on Russian grammar and cases. Study them to DEATH they will never leave you EVER they are by far my most feared part of the language. Um i dont think we are studying Zamyatin it is mostly just the really big stuff like, pushkin, tolstoy, dostoyevskij ect but its fun. How about you how is your year going ?
