Jack turned at the sound of his voice and when he saw it was Percy he smiled and raised his hand. "Hey, Percy," he replied. "What brings you out here?"
"Oh, well," I said, suddenly embarrassed that I didn't have an answer to that. "Just walking around. You know, exploring?" I gave him a grin. "So how have you been? We haven't talked for a while. Were you caught up in Halloween?"
"No, a friend warned me so I tried to keep clear," he replied. "I know a few people who got caught, though. Other than that, I've been good.Same as always now that the house is built. How about you? How've you been?"
"Not too bad," I replied. "This month's been much better than the last, actually. Ironically, the turning point came when I went into one of those nightmare clouds. Then I finally had a heart-to-heart with my best friend Annabeth." Then I looked at him and decided to stop beating around the bush. "Jack... you've... dated a lot of people, haven't you?"
