Coraline turned her head, eyes narrowed as she glared daggers at Percy. Not slowing down, Coraline brought her arms tighter around her and ducked into a side street and hurried away. Walking quickly, she slid into another alley before Percy could turn the corner and spot her before she doubled back, running now, to the street.

Yup, she was still angry. I could tell by how she picked up the pace and turned a corner. The sound of her footfalls echoed off the walls. I started to pick up the pace as well, but then I stopped, as I listened to those echoes. They faded in the street ahead of me... and they were getting louder behind the buildings beside me... and an alleyway opening out in the street behind me.

On a hunch, I stopped, and turned and waited, my arms folded across my chest. When Coraline emerged, I said, "Hey, Coraline. We need to talk."

Coraline turned her head looking at Percy startled before scowling, blowing her hair out of the way before walking away.

"You might need to talk but I don't." Coraline said annoyed. "I'm not talking to you."

I matched her pace, but I didn't make a move to grab her. I wasn't making that mistake twice. "You will tell me why you pulled a knife on my girlfriend!"
