Salutations!

First and foremost, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my esteemed associate, Miss Clearwater (now a professor at Hogwarts School as I'm absolutely elated to inform you!) for her assistance in setting up this computer and journal account. The extent of your knowledge and kindness astounds me, and for that and more I am ever grateful.

It was of course my pleasure, Percy. What can be done with Muggle technology is simply fascinating. Perhaps, if I had grown up as a Muggle I would have studied something in that field. I am glad that it seems to be up and running rather smoothly for you.

Your report on wand trees seems rather stimulating. I am sure that if given the chance, you could help the Canadian Minister see your point of view. Imagine the resources if such a thing were to occur!

Penny, with an intellect like yours, I'm certain you'd succeed at any venture regardless of heritage. Indeed, I'd love to attend one of your classes if I am ever able, since you've genuinely piqued my curiosity on many fascinating muggle subjects. I'd be a model student, I assure you.

I'm truly glad to see someone realises the importance of resources such as this. But then, I wouldn't expect anything less from you, my dear.

I never doubted anything less, Percy. Perhaps we can arrange it for Professor Dumbledore. I am sure that you would enjoy the section on Muggle history. Sometimes I am amazed that Muggles have not found us out yet!

Some people are just blind to what could be, Percy.

Percy. Just-- Don't give me career advice. I know which routes are best for me, and Ron does too. And please, don't write us any letters about not hanging out with Harry this year. Even the Minister of Magic sees things Harry's way now. Really, you ought to apologize. And come home. I do miss you, you great prat.

I only mentioned it to illustrate the possibilities; no patronisation was intended, I assure you. Really, I'm very proud of the both of you and am only looking out for your best interests, so please don't take offense.

I'm well aware that I was mistaken on the subject of Harry Potter at that time, but you must admit the evidence against him was far more convincing than what was being said in his favour. That being said, I'm sure you'd be able to understand things from my perspective if you thought about it long enough.

And I don't much want to live anywhere I'm not welcome, unfortunately. I don't have time to face persecution at the breakfast table every morning, as I'm sure you can understand. As much as I miss you lot, London suits me just fine at the moment, but you're more than welcome to drop by during the holidays if you get the chance.

Please give Ron my regards, and do try to be careful.

PS. Is it true what I've heard about you and Dean Thomas?

Percy that is a ridiculously frightening picture of you. Please dispose of it. Oh, and maybe write to your older brother once in a while? Really, just one of us will do.

I'm afraid it was the best I could do on such short notice; that particular photograph was taken at last year's office Christmas party, if I remember correctly. It is an event that I can scarcely recall, let alone understand what events led up to the picture in question. In short, you'll just have to live with it, Charlie.

I regret that I haven't kept in close contact with either of you lately, but as you can imagine, I've been very busy with co-ordinating various Ministry endeavours. Hopefully, this 'internet' thing will assist in keeping up to date and warding off unnecessary procrastination, however.

It's a bit disturbing that I've seen more of your family this month than you have dear. Just a thought. And a welcome, of course.

... Percy, you realise that if it was anyone other than yourself I'd worry that something nefarious and/or illegal had gone on before/during/after said Christmas party. But since it is you, I'll forgo the worrying part of this and just laugh at you. I still say you should get a new picture.

I'm sure you're a very busy man, and I don't dare to get in the way of your co-ordinating of course. But I do miss you, like the rest of us - just thought I'd register it. I'm sure the internet will help. Even for the terminally procrastinatory amongst us.
