There are also a large number of people saying how terrible it was he wasn't taken alive, that he should have been "shot in the leg" and that killing him rather than capturing him makes it an act of terrorism and injustice.
Strange times and it shows a lack of understanding by many about the mechanics of missions like these, when there is determined armed resistance its almost impossible to take people alive, never mind "shoot them nicely in the leg".
In interviews, different people who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks have said that bin Laden's death finally gives them some closure. I hope this really does ease their pain and that they don't feel any guilt in being happy that he is dead. As Steven Colbert put it, "I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl who just shot bin Laden in the eye"..."I hope I am never again this happy over someone's death."
