Billy Mitchell A fellow Wisconsinite, he was a early advocate for a US air force. He encouraged the use of aircraft in firefighting and sinking battleships. In 1924, he predicted the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He was crazy and more people should have listened to him. Incidentally or not, the Milwaukee airport was named for him.
