Come to my mansion, all of you

I almost forgot, but I heard about the following link yesterday. Regardless of one's opinion of Microsoft or their products, this has to be one of the most awful videos ever inflicted on anyone. (For background: MS are trying to persuade their customers to advertise the new operating system Windows 7 on their behalf.)

It's been described to me as "Vista with all the broken bits fixed". Which may just be wishful thinking, since guess which operating system we've been saddled with since July?

Isn't there some kind of free upgrade thing they've been offering for people who recently bought Vista? Or was that just some strange dream I had? Sounds unusually altruistic of them.

I would have boped that the broken bits of Vista should have been fixed as a patch without having to fork out another £100, but hey-ho...

Most customers with any sense (e.g. my boyfriend's organisation) could read the letters "TURD" etched onto Vista and bided their time for 7 instead. No doubt we've gotten "upgrades" for the OS but a little varnish isn't going to change what the thing is made of.

Am I the only one in the world who doesn't have trouble with Vista?

Or is it that I'm not using it up to its full potential?

I'm going to show some Windows 7 orientation videos at my next party.

Big up. Can I come?

In my next party, I'm going to have people re-enact that video, handing out costumes and scripts. I then record each one and put it up on Youtube. At subsequent parties, guests will have to re-enact the videos the other people re-enacted. And so on, until the end of time, like some sort of Ourobouros-cum-Chinese whispers deal. Microsoft would be proud.
