Dude, I'm Just Here to Buy Some Soy Sauce...or...Fun with Modern Chinese Sayings!

I was very appreciative of the China blogs today and would like to share some them with all y'all.  They were mostly about new sayings among the youth, some of which I find wonderful and will certainly adopt in my Chinese, and may even, as the title suggests, start using them in English as well.

First is, as the title suggests:

The video reminds me of a chinese book I have that is the communist young girl joining the army and fighting oppression. It's fantastic as all the illustrations have her dressed up as a communist solider in point shoes!

Where do you go to read Chinese blogs? Any that you'd recommend? I originally came to LJ to read more Chinese but since the great firewall that's all gone away...

I have been to danwei before, but not any of the others. They'll be great practice. I don't really have much to suggest in return. I've just been reading stories in Chinese on the BBC for practice...
