You'll never guess where I am writing from!

Well, you probably can, but it is exciting nonetheless.  I am in Sunny Gaoxiong!  I have packed and left the ole' US of A and am now in the RO of C!  I am sitting in the balmy 86 degree weather of 8:30am on a friends computer drinking green tea from one of those hundreds of tea stands that dot the island (

Annoyed at losing face my friends went on a search for African food in this fair city and turned up both an Egyptian place and a South African one. Walking around on the streets today I was amazed at how many things can be squeezed into such a small place - dance studios stacked onto Japanese restaurants, on top of stock-market consultants... it is quite exciting being in a cosmopolitan city once again (hometown in the US wasn't, nor was my city in Mainland China).
