ATS in BDSS?

have they ever done actual improv ATS in the BDSS shows? I know they've done a couple of moves but never any improv, right?

i didnt see it, i am just asking ... they did some more ATS-y moves in one of the big opening or ending choreos but i dont think it was improv.
I dont actually have any BDSS performance videos to see.

I also only saw the first two tours, but the only occasion that I can think of that could possibly have had any improv ATS would have been that odd bagpipe number in the second tour, where Petite Jamilla played bagpipes and did some sort of jig, Dondi whirled swords around and Melodia and Sharon Kihara did tribal stuff framing PJ (and why yes, it did look rather chaotic and disorganized). I suppose Melodia and Sharon could have been doing improv with each other. But if they were, it wasn't billed that way.

Correct, they have not. The nature of a big flashy stage show is they want to know the exact details and impact of every performance. Improv does not lend itself to that kind of certainty. Makes sense.

Yes, this. Rachel Brice told me (if I'm remembering right, my memory is a completely SHOT thing, tho) that she'd had almost no experience choreographing before BDSS and that Jamilla absolutely insisted that she learn how to and perform/ make her own choreos ( ... )

Probably! But I think Rach did some, I could be wrong.
