I know you are not always happy, but I miss your posts. You are such a valuable friend. I'm always glad to hear that you are still there, doing your thing.

Your life is deeper and more varied than anything I have going! The new experiences in music, being a part of a community where you can explore that, and even the acupuncture work. WOW! I'm incredibly impressed.

Don't drop off the face of the earth. You are a good soul and I yearn to hear from you.

I know isolation is tough. I've experienced it before, even in my huge clan of family. That feeling that everyone is running circles around me and no on sees me. But keep on doing what you are doing. I am certain that music is an amazing healer.

Thanks. The exploration of rhythms in ethnic cultures has been a lifesaver for me. I have trouble connecting with people in the community sometimes, but at least I'm not totally apart from the community either. I often wonder if I'm searching for a cultural identity that I lost when I threw off the cloak of organized religion. There is a hole there where wholeness used to be. But it's not totally empty - just a tad disjointed. Thanks for your support. I hope all is well in your world.

It goes on. It is what it is.

I understand about organized religion. Like losing an arm and still wanting to scratch an itch. I've found a place in my meditation that works for me.

I think I'm beginning to find that place in the things I respond to. It's just taken awhile to recognize that and trust those responses. There's time enough.

Good to see a post from you, my friend. And I'm glad to hear that you've resumed the musical adventures ... things like that can be very good for the soul.

Even though my acupuncture experiment didn't really help my lower back, I remain extremely intrigued by the practice, and I'd love to try it again. I'm happy you have the opportunity to do so, and that you're getting benefit from it.

Take care, sir. *hugs*

Thanks Mark. It's been an intriguing path I've found myself on. The moments may seem to lack something I think I'm looking for, but looking back it all seems quite amazing. I think I need to connect more with the moment instead of waiting for reflection time to fill in the gaps.

My experience with acupuncture has been that it's a cumulative process. No sudden relief or healing, but a gradual coming into balance that works wonders. I hope you do find relief.

And thanks for the many views of your world. Of course, it may read better than it plays out, but it's very good for this soul whatever the case.

It is nice to hear from you again, Ed. I'm sorry life has been so tough on you. *hugs*
I bet it must be exciting to get to know the new instruments - and to find that you work in them so well! That might not be the right way to phrase it butI hope you understand what I mean to say. Hang in there, Hon, things will be better soon!

Thanks and {{{hugs}}} back. I do know what you mean. It really is an adventure getting to know not only the didgeridoo but something about the culture it came from as well. It's so much more than just an instrument with a funny name and strange sound. Hope all is well in your world.

from depression to djembe to djuns to the didgeridoos. i sense a d-theme emerging...

i think tapping into the literal rhythm of life can be a very powerful thing, especially when done with others. the drumming produces not only sounds but deep vibrations that resonate with the body. i once chanted "ohm" with a large circle of people when i was about 18 and i can still feel the echos in my chest of that lone experience.

if the student intern acupuncture is working perhaps it should be accompanied by student intern massage? more healing touches.

i wish you lived nearby.

Thanks for your kind words and for seeing the "d" connection. That wasn't intentional, but it resonates in me. I seem to respond to things that vibrate. (There may be a pun in there, but it's not intentional either.) Maybe the Universe is sending a message in the choice options that I respond to along the path ( ... )

Thanks Scott. The djuns and other indigenous instruments are to me what NASCAR or maybe military bases are to you - the hidden layers of understanding are always a revelation.
