The apartment above the gallery was still very tightly barricaded; Charlotte, in her surprisingly easy effort to forget about the zombies entirely, had even stopped listening to the radio, so she wasn't actually aware that the whole thing had passed. It had taken a little longer to get home than Dale wanted. After the battle he had found a safe place to sleep and... well the barricade to the apartment seemed much tighter than when he left.

However eventually he got in and now there was a small dirty bunny hopping into the office making little bunny noises to try and get Charlotte's attention.

Hopefully Ms. Taylor wasn't up to chasing him today.

Ms. Taylor wasn't really up to much beyond sleeping in front of the fireplace, but she did smell a familiar rabbit and seemed to wake up enough to bark out a greeting.

Which practically made Charlotte jump out of her skin, barely managing to keep down a little scream, because now was not the time for random barks! Realizing no immediate danger, Charlotte frowned and looked around.

And then ended up jumping again, this time right to her feet. "Dale! You're..." There was a slight whimper, biting back the urge to nag as she picked him up. "You'll get dirt all over the carpet," she said, in a much softer tone than it would have been right off the bat.

She was just glad to see he was safe, really, even if she was a little disappointed that he was still a rabbit.

There was a sorrowful ear twitch in Charlotte's direction and the rabbit nuzzled up next to her and let out a tired sigh. The bunny was also happy to see Charlotte safe though he was sure if his ear twitches or nuzzling made that apparent.

And bunny nuzzles were all very nice, usually, but Dale looked like he'd been through quite a bit, and the aftereffects looked like they could easily rub off on things and get them dirty. So Charlotte gave him a small little smile and said, "I think we should get you all cleaned up and then you can rest and stop running around outside with zombies."
