i'm hanging out at caitlin's with her, evy, and caitlin's new hamster who has regrettably been named lulu. in the near future, i plan on purchasing a hamster of my own so lulu will have a playmate, because she seems awfully lonely in her little house. caitlin's little sister just grabbed evy's boob, which i found to be rather amusing. kind of ( Read more... )

also, hamsters lie 2-2.5 years, rats live 2-3 years and guinea pigs live 3-5 years. if you are getting the pet behind your father's back, make sure you will be able to bring it with you to college. if your dad won't take care of it when you leave, and you can't take it with you, what will you do with it?

yeah, my friend and i found out after doing some research about a day after i made this post that it wasn't a good idea to have hamster playmates. but thanks for the advice, hah. i think i might go with a guinea pig just because they look so furry and cute and insane and disheveled and there's something i like about that. i'll be living in an apartment when i go to college so i'll be able to take my pet wherever i go, so i've thought all of that out.
