I agree with you on pretty much everything. One thing I would add was that Farder Coram just didn't seem right. He looked too sturdy and perhaps a little too young. I was also frustrated with the lack of time developing the characters. A sacrifice made to ensure the showcasing of more events. Truly the director of this movie failed us.

Yeah, you're right about Farder Coram. I didn't mention him because I posted this before I re-read the parts of the book he's in, and I couldn't quite remember what he was like. But I wouldn't go so far as to say the director failed. There were problems, yes, but there were also some very lovely parts.
