I have spent the day on the phone to a friend of almost 10 years. He is in the midst of a considerable emotional (existential) crisis. He spoke for hours, and thanked me for listening.

Haha! Many thanks :) I have considered deleting this post on a number of occasions; sometimes I cringe and think 'wannabe existentialist claptrap' lol, but ultimately I think it is valid - and since I'm an inconsistent blogger* I leave it up here...

I think that the initial reaction to writing anything like that is some kind of cross between a cringe and a slight nauseous feeling...its a conditioned response. But I don't think that means people should stop writing and putting it out there.
