This event of people, like you, dying and coming back to life. It certainly is an unusual one.

Is there any explanation for that, or it just seems to 'happen' like most of the things here? [He's just curious because... Yep. Still thinking about Hughes' death. Maybe if there's a way to bring him back...]

I'm afraid there is very little that could be explained away, Officer. From what I have come to understand, there are some who return from death and some who do not. Another one of the foolishly countless mysteries surrounding this place.
