It's been nearly a year and a half since I've updated (new job, new house, didn't have much to say but I skim flist when I can, etc, etc...hell, I'm a bad friend but I hope you'll all forgive me) but I know some of you know I live in Sydney and I wanted to check in and say I'm okay. I have family and friends that both live and work in the city and

Even my parents, who hate all races/peoples on principle, aren't blaming muslims for this one - just the courts for letting a monster roam the streets. 50 counts of rape, setting his ex wife on fire, multiple extremist crimes, and he's on bail? This was just a monster, nothing to do with his religion. Nice to see you back, sorry it took this awful event...

Thanks, iibnf. Sorry I've been so quiet but I have been trying to catch up with reading and if I'm on, I always check how you're going. Sad to hear about your last job but am hopeful that things can only get better from this point on.

Older Aussies are funny buggers, aren't they? I've deliberately stayed away from talk back radio because I can't stand it on a good day so I can only imagine what Alan Jones and Ray Hadley's loyal listeners are saying!

The only good news I've heard about this saga is maybe they're going to tighten up the parameters for bail? Too little, too fucking late but if it helps future victims...
