I know that Leonard Cohen is worth it, but I cannot afford the $85.50 for the cheap seats. It is troublesome that concert tickets are so expensive. Goodness!! I think I will ask the fairies to bring me some 'spare' tix as a gift.

Yes, I'm so with you. The whole idea of concert tickets costing that much, unless we're talking about importing a 60 piece orchestra from Peru or something, is very tiring indeed. I had to really convince myself to start paying 35 for stuff like George Clinton or James Brown's (last) touring show, or Femi Couti, and I only justify it because of the number of players in the band.

Now, in this case, I spent it, because I've never seen LC and I'd like to, once, but I spent it kicking and screaming and in fact I didn't get a ticket until they added the second show, because at that point I'd had remorse for my "cheapness".

But it bothers me. I understand how we got here, but it bothers me. Me at age 14 would not have been able to see this show under any circumstance. And I'm the way I am because of all the shows I did get to see. So, yeah. Bummer. And I wish I was rich, I'd be your fairy.
