This just in from the geniuses over at the AP, in a startlingly *brilliant* article (*gags*) about the upcoming filming of 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix'...

'Potter also wrestles with his attraction to new character Luna Lovegood, a role taken by 14-year-old newcomer Evanna Lynch.'

Luna Lovegood?! *snorts* Errr... last time I checked, ( Read more... )

WTF?!?!? I KNOW! I read that and had I eaten beforehand, I would have surely puked! Whatever... that's why they're lowly entertainment columinst, not Pulitzer Prize winners.

You know what anxiety attack daytime nightmare (thank Mr. Adelie for keeping me so entertained) I just had? That the worst memory scene just Harry swoonign over the 'coolness' that was MWPP, and they just totally dimished the infamous hazing scene to "oh, whoops, there's a split second of Snivelly's underwear... Hi, Snivellus...OK let's just chill in the grass and have our spectral progeny worship us from the future".

lolol

Ugh, Harry better bloody well not think MWPP were cool in that scene! In the book he dared to feel kinda bad for Snape, so if this new screenwriter/director duo are worth their salt, T hope they'll be true to that. I suggest MUTINY if they're not! :P

When was Harry ever attracted to Luna? Those people haven't read the book! Journalists who don't do their homework - that sucks!

Hee hee :) As a journalist myself, I have to agree: it does suck! You'd think that *someone* proofreading the article at least would've read the book and caught the mistake. All I can think of is that they're confusing/misinterpreting the fact that Harry invited Luna to Slughorn's party in HBP--BUT that's the (1) the wrong book, and (2) had nothing to do with being attracted to her!

Some people! *shakes head*

I remember a friend who is a writer once told me that a journalist came to interview him. It was so obvious that she wasn't prepared, so he just cut the interview short and sent her away ...
