Wherein I talk about stuff

I decided on a bag, and I like it alot. I ended up buying the Tom Bihn Medium Cafe bag. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted, and my new netbook can fit inside it. I have been looking around for netbook sleeves, but it's hard to find something that fits it pretty tight. I was looking at having one made for me by someone on Etsy, but I may ( Read more... )

foster a dog to curb your dog lust. It will give you a chance to find out what you really want in a dog while doing a good deed. It maybe easier to get Matthew on board because it's not a HUGE commitment all at once. THat's how we ended up with Buddy. Patrick let me foster a couple of Basset Hounds. Then he told me he hated bassets, so then we fostered a golden and ended up keeping him!

I am totally with you on the cat lust. Sam's parents have an awful cat (Jerry the Jerk), who just loves to bite everyone, yet my cat lust has driven me to spend time with him anyway, so I always wind up getting bitten several time whenever we visit Sam's parents' house. I really want a cat, but we haven't gotten one partly because Sam has been traumatized by growing up with this cat. It's really frustrating.

On the upside, our apartment doesn't smell like a kitty litter, there's no animal hair to clean up, and we can go on vacation without arranging for a pet sitter.

My friend knitted a sleeve for her laptop. It turned out really cute. Just don't use wool. Static + electronics = bad.

OMG! get a dog! I'm all about that. but rather than a puppy, maybe an older dog, cause they are more mellow (and usualy housebroken) and they get killed at the shelter since everyone wants puppies. I like the idea of fostering, but it would be too sad to train a dog and then giving them up.

If the dog you get is lighter than Matthew, then you have the wrong dog.

That's a pretty fresh bag. If I had money and wasn't OK with my current bag I'd totally want one.
