*bows down* Google is God. ;)

I can't imagine what it must be like to work there, but as a librarian and future information specialist I'm very intersted in how things work. Can't help it; got a love for information. :) (And currently I read a lot about IR systems and information architechture so that only fuels my curiosity).

Google is very, very different from traditional systems. There are a few papers out about how the data is managed that might be of interest, check out http://research.google.com/pubs/papers.html - there are 70 about IR alone:) Given that Google's mission is "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful", it would be an information specialist' heaven.

I keep finding big repositories of information to dig through. I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with even the things that interest me.
