I`m amused by the fact that sea dragons is translated to norwegian as "Sjøhest", which means "sea horse".

So a norwegian horse is an english dragon :-P ???

I knew the Norwegians were tough, but riding dragons like horses?

That's damn good translation, actually. The sea dragon (as can be seen from the photo) is a kind of sea horse.

Well, it could possibly be the viking longships. Most of them were decorated on the bow with a head from an animal like a horse or a dragon. Could be a connection between a seahorse or a seaship there.

Then again Sleipnir, Odins horse was a flying horse with 8 legs, don`t know if it could breathe fire though.
