Summary: At the shores of the sea Pippin remembered the pivotal time with the orcs and Ents during the War.
“There are some things I’ve been meaning to ask you, Gandalf. Did you know that you’ll see us again after you left us with the Ents? How did you know it was wise?”
“There are some things we do not know but only feel. You and Merry were meant to go into Fangorn, the Ents were meant to be part of this war though no one knew in what capacity.”
Gandalf looked at Pippin tenderly, “My dear hobbit, you have grown. You will take care of the Shire with Sam and Merry; you will live long, prosper.”
Tears clouded as he watched Gandalf depart.
