So this is where I talk about the show and post pix. The full story is
here if you didn't see it.
Before I get into the actual show, here's some pre-show pix.
The pick that I was handed by the guy from the venue:
Eeee. I wanna make a necklace from it.
Here are the pins I got with the bracelet for the Meet & Greet after the show:
This is from the Charmin store. It is CREEPY in there:
ALL THAT HYPE ABOUT TOILET PAPER, FOR REAL.
One of my linefriends was especially excited about the Vicks tissues and shoved them up his nose.
Again.
We were ALL sniffing the tissues.
Malinda.
Me obvsss. Featuring the fruity blanket.
Then we got the VIP passes. WERE EXCITED.
Me & Jen.
The pass after the show (lol):
ahhahaha it got beat up and so did I.
We actually got interviewed by the Nokia Theater people a little bit on camera, and we had to sign release forms and everything. I wonder if I'm going to be ~on anything~
So umm, here's the pre-show meet & greet picture:
Squinty-eyed smiles for me & Pete. When Beth (my cousin) saw this picture she said we looked like dating teenagers who were very used to touching each other. wtf Beth. I look like such a fool though lol. Oh lawd. At least I had Pete Wentz's arm around me.
So yeah, after that we went into the venue and were pissed because we were waiting on line for 12 hours and when we got out of the meet and greet they had let everyone in, so we got awful spots. :( not too bad. I mean, we were able to fight closer.
I didn't take many pictures of Tyga, because I was DYING and fighting to stay awake. I just took some when the guy in the Obama mask came out because I got excited.
Then... Fall Out Boy. Here's what I remember of their setlist:
Thnks Fr Th Mmrs
The Takeover, The Break's Over
America's Suitehearts
Sixteen Candles
Nobody Puts Baby In the Corner
I Slept With Someone In FOB
Thriller
Chicago Is So Two Years Ago
Arms Race
Headfirst Slide
Grand Theft Autumn
I'm Like a Lawyer
Sugar
Beat It
Lullaby
I Don't Care
Dance, Dance
Yule Shoot Your Eye Out
Saturday
Eeee. I was so excited. I'm not going to talk too much about my own personal excitement though. Peekchars.
This picture is pretty terrible but I like it for some reason.
Stumpy Stumpy Stumpy!
Such a spaz <3
LOL WHAT these two pictures look nearly identical but they're DIFFERENT.
...DEAR GOD
lolPeet
stupid mic
I like this picture. If only it were less blurry.
Okay so I'm not going to lie, I DO have a bit of a fixation on Pete, but it was actually really difficult to photograph Troh and Andy from where I was. There are a couple later on but everything else I got sucked :(
I like this picture. It's kind of accidentally ~artistic~
There's the Troh we know and love. I think he came to my side of the stage for this one. HIS HAIR IS SO BIG OH MY GOD.
Allow me a small fangirl moment. LOOK AT HIS THIGHS. That is all.
Mmmm Peet.
Aww I got him smiling. HE'S SUCH A QT.
I don't remember much of what he talked about, actually. I do remember that he made Patrick tell a story, and he did, and it was ADORABLE. PATRICK IS JUST ADORABLE IN GENERAL. He was also like, "I'm gonna play you a song. Actually, I'm not because I can't play this shit. PATRICK is gonna play you a song..." fdjkajfdakajkdsa. Oh btw it just occurred to me that I didn't mention that I was in front of Pete. Like, fifth row or so, right in front of him. siiigh.
This is Patrick Stump, and he is adorable.
FLIP DAT BERRRDD.
Eeee <333
lol that pout.
Haha I love how Patrick was wearing the same thing during the Meet & Greet but Pete like ~changed~.
These next several are from "I Don't Care," hence the crazy-ass lights on the background and their guitars. Whooo
(...THIGHS)
DRAMATIC STUMPY IS DRAMATIC.
MOAR TROH.
I think it's funny that he was wearing red and white stripes. it's such a typical Pete Wentz thing to wear.
fmadksjfaksdjkad
Words can not describe how happy I am that I got this photo. hahahaha
<3 (n'aww too bad it's blurry)
This is seriously the best picture I got of Andy.
heeeeee
Gonna squish his head.
Nice picture of Stumpyface there.
LURKING PETE LURKS.
So yeah I'm gonna talk a little bit now before I post the rest. I was so happy that they played "Headfirst Slide" because it's legit one of my favorite songs, and Pete was like "this next one is a dance song. If you have a glow stick throw it up" so I cracked my glow stick and waved it around through the entire song. My arm got tired. :(
I got pretty emotional during "I slept with someone in FOB" because, IDK, it kind of applys to something (someone) that happened to me. It felt good.
I was a little pissed when they played "Lullaby" because I didn't know about it and Pete was like "THIS IS THE FIRST TRACK OFF OUR NEW ALBUM" and I was like "HOMG HOMG IT'S WATER BUFFALOS" but nooo. They didn't play Water Buffalos adn that made me super sad :( BUt whatever, I'm assuming they'll play that shit at the Bamboozle, once their album is out for more than 21 hours.
<3
Before they played Saturday, Pete said that they had a vote for what they should close with, and that he was pretty sure what would win. And yes, Saturday won. It just... I don't know, it made me smile pretty hard, because it made me realize that only so much has changed. Every time I've seen them they've closed with Saturday,e ven when it was up to the fans to choose. especially when it was up to the fans.
oh god "Dance Dance" just came on FUSE video yearbook '06 and I am SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW OH MY GOD. lol the best part is when dorky Stumpy starts circle-pit moshing, oh my GOD.
ANYWAY, yeah. During "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out" (umm I'm assuming that's what it was... I've never heard that song--someone wanna hook me up with it?--and it was a christmas song SO...), Pete, Andy and Joe threw candy canes at us. I thought I was gonna die, people kept launching themselves at them.
During Saturday Pete went into the crowd as usual, and everyone started surging towards him, even if there was no chance that they were gonna get there. He's ~magnetic~. I was actually surprised by the number of guys in the audience. THat was kinda random but I just thought of it. There were a fair number of dudes there. More than I see at MCR or Cobra or Panic. There were still more girls, but I'm gonna say it was about 30% guys. I even MET one! The first thing I said to him was "OH MY GOD IT'S A BOY!" hahaha
After the show... oh my god. I had been standing for probably around eight hours, and three of those hours my knees weren't bending. I tried to walk up this tiny flight of stairs and my knee didn't bend enough, my foot went smacking into the stair and I stumbled. It kinda sucked. My knees took like 5 minutes to remember how to bend.
Someone handed me this sticker on the way out:
Then I made my way over to Virgin for the signing. Met up with some kids from high school, chatted, waited. The line was long as hale. Here's a couple sneaky pics I took from across the room:
THAT CAMERA GUY LOOKS SO PISSED. And STumpy looks like a cranky baby.
Anyway, I'm going to copy & paste what I wrote in my other entry for the signing part of this.
We get in finally, FAD playing over the PA, sing along while we wait. I've got out my album insert for them to sign. I have something semi-prepared to say, but I decide to wing it depending on the vibes I get.
"I Don't Care" starts just as it's my turn. Stumpy is first and he's all happy and open and friendly and says "hiiii, how are you?" so I say "I'm great! That was SOME show tonight, dude."
He says, "wow, thanks! You had a good time?"
I say, "oh yeah! thanks for putting on such an amazing show!"
And he's like, "nooo! Thank you!"
And I say "Aahhh thanks!"
And he's like, "no, seriously though, thank you so much for coming out to the show" and he was so SINCERE and djewhdejwyuideu!!! Then he sticks out his hand for me to shake adn I'm like ADFJAIFEA34948913!!! and shake his hand and it was SO SOFT (not to be creepy or anything)...
I said "you're so sweet!" then I did a little happy air-punch and said "see you at the Bamboozle!!"
And he was like "YEEAH! See you at bamboozle!" and air-punched right back at me.
HOW ARE YOU SO PRECIOUS, PATRICK MARTIN STUMP??? HOW??? Wtffff he really is that nice, you guys. It's not a lieeee. He's like a PUPPY, all enthusiastic and affectionate and grateful. And later on I was thinking "HOW COULD YOU THANK ME STUMPY? YOU BRING ME SO MUCH JOY!!!"
I didn't get to say anything to Andy because I was still talking to Patrick when I was in front of him. He was kinda like :| though haha. Probably isn't the biggest fan of signings.
Next was Joe and he was so happy. "HI HOW ARE YOU?" and I said, "I'M FANTASTIC HOW ARE YOU?" and he said "SUPER!" or something like that.
Then Pete. Hehe. I didn't know what to say to Pete, because I had so much to say that couldn't be said in 5 seconds, so I decided to just be friendly and say nothing. Except, he was jamming out to "I Don't Care" which was on the chorus by then, and as I got up to him he was singing. "I! Don't! Care what you think!" and he pointed at me and I was like "HEEHEE" so I sang it with him, and pointed back at him, and then pointed at myself when I said "as long as its about me" and waggled my eyebrows in a silly fashion, and he kind of giggled and I gave him the thumbs up, said thanks, snatched my CD booklet and ran away.
So yep, and here's the signed booklet:
Every time I get Pete's autograph it looks different. Except for the P. I like Joe's it's cooool.
SO THAT IS MY EXPERIENCE. Hope you enjoyed. Can't wait to do it again. Fall Out Boy are the best, I love them SO fucking much <3
