Vivian, in the hallway with the cat: Ooooo, you're so cute and fluffy! Look how cute and fluffy you are!
Tristan, on the changing table: TRISTAN CUTE N FLUFFY TOO!
I have to say, people, that Tristan has excellent creativity and problem solving skills. Just let me give you a run down of our day today:
* 8am: Figures out that if he pushes the diaper hamper up against the laundry hamper, can fling himself head first into the crib. No more need for Mommy to lift him!
* 9am: Washes all his cars in the cat's water dish
* 9:30: We attempt to leave the house. As I've gotten everything into the car and reach down to buckle him, he says, "Poop, mama. Poop." We go back inside.
* 10am: Barista cracks up because he's sitting in the car giving her a big grin while alternately sticking his finger into his nose, then his ear. Then his nose, then his ear. Whyyy?
* 11am: Pushes kitchen stool to the pantry, which is open shelves guarded by extra-high baby gate. Rearranges all the canned goods.
* 11:30: While I am making lunch, gets a back of Goldfish crackers out of the cupboard and refills his own snack cup.
* 1pm-3pm: Babbles through nap time without sleeping even one wink, sigh.
* 3:30pm: While I'm doing dishes, he clogs up the toilet.
* 4pm: While I'm cleaning up the bathroom, throws all the balls we own down the stairs.
* 4:15: Discovers that the baby gate makes a magnificent swing.
* 4:30pm: While "helping" with the laundry, discovers he can stick his ENTIRE SELF into the washer.
* 5pm: Attempts to move CD player from living room to his bedroom.
* 5:30pm: I find the play broom stuffed behind the couch cushions when I sit down and it yells, "YOU MISSED A SPOT!"
* 6pm: Has taken all his toy cars and trains to the front door and hidden them all inside various shoes.
