Round 5: Uni Days 23-25
So the first group of teens from Bakersfield have had their YA birthdays and moved to good ol' SSU to start their college years. In my game, each Uni year (2 semesters) = 1 simday back in the normal hood. So these kids left their homes on simday 22, and therefore I will be playing them through 3 years of Uni in this update (sd's 23, 24, & 25). In the above picture, Luke Jackson had a slight mental meltdown upon arrival at Uni. I have no idea why, but I am not happy that he cost my prosperity challenge 1 point! It's probably because he couldn't stand all of the bad fashion he saw around him from the other students. Don't worry though, they eventually got makeovers!
Before their makeovers could even happen, Dixon and Della Harvey started acting on their natural 3 bolt attraction. Dixon's teenaged girlfriend back home, Sasha Wilcox, is not going to like this. Neither do I, to be honest. I like my playables to marry other playables, but how can I possibly deny a natural 3 bolt attraction couple?!
After makeovers! This lovely lady is Darcy Nolan, Luke Jackson's teenaged lover. Since she's technically his girlfriend, she gets to come to Uni too. Darcy is a Popularity sim who wants to own 5 top lvl businesses. She chose Philosophy as her major and plans on joining the Paranormal career track until her businesses take off. She's always had a high interest in all things sci-fi and paranormal.
And here's Della Harvey, another townie teen that got a free ticket to Uni thanks to her 3 bolt attraction and BFF status with Dixon Jackson. Even though I knew she was going to break up Dixon and Sasha, she did earn her way after all. Della is a Knowledge sim with a LTW to max all skills. Yay for achieving a LTW and IW in one go. That should be no problem. She's majoring in Economics and is going to join the Education career since she has a high interest in school.
And finally, Darlene Dawson. The girlfriend of April Jackson. She turned out to be pretty cute after her makeover. Darlene is a Romance sim who thankfully only wants to become a Hall of Famer. She's decided to major in Drama in order to join the Athletic career.
Right after makeovers, I heard the little "we're best friends" noise followed by heart farting and zoomed in to see Carter Benson and Della Harvey falling for each other. This. Will. Not. Happen. Carter is going to marry Bree Wilcox, and that is that. Besides, Della and Dixon are natural 3 bolters!
But then I saw this. Carter and Della are natural 3 bolters too, in fact Della likes Carter more than Dixon! But I will not let this happen. No siree, Carter is going to be with Bree and that is final.
So, Carter got yet another makeover to change him to match Bree's turn ons. Now he's sporting brown hair and glasses!
And Bree got another makeover as well. She's now got glasses and is always seen wearing formalwear....Carter's favorites.
That fixed things and they are back to being each other's highest attractions. I will not allow these two to break up, darnit!
Speaking of makeovers, might as well show you the other kids. Here's Luke Jackson. Nothing's changed but his clothes. He's majoring in Biology to join his LTW career of Athletics.
Dixon's nose got a little bigger. We can thank his mother Tracey for that large honker. He's majoring in Drama to join his LTW career of Entertainment. And he's back to being Della Harvey's top attraction, thank goodness.
And lastly, here's April Jackson. She's majoring in Drama so she can join the Dance career. Her LTW is to earn $100,000 and dance seems good for that. Especially since April's OTH is music/dance and she has a high interest in culture and entertainment. Sounded like a good fit for her.
Luke and Darcy continued their steamy love affair that started almost the day they became teenagers. They do look cute together.
Dixon and Della continued their ACR'ing instead of studying. Although they both pulled good grades for the majority of their 3 years in this update.
April and Darlene look like their still really into each other too, even though they only share a low 2 bolter attraction. But April's only other higher attraction is a placeholder sim in town, so that's just not possible!
Luke and Dixon still cannot get along, even though they're brothers. They fight constantly still, and it is really hard to get them to do anything else because I'm always having to cancel slap and fight interactions!
In their sophomore year, Dixon and Della rolled these wants which really shocked me. Well, at least I know they are serious about each other and that makes me feel a little better about breaking up Dixon and Sasha.
Sophomore year also brought a new cafeteria worker that set the kitchen on fire at least 2 times per day. That got annoying real quick.
And at the end of sophomore year, Bree maxed all her skills earning her the Knowledge IW. You go girl!
At the start of their junior year, or simday 25 to be exact, the girls and guys split up and formed their own greek organizations. The girls pooled their money together and started the Annya Nagard Sorority. This is their cute, pink chapter house.
Also at the start of their junior year, Bree Wilcox's little sister, Sasha Wilcox, joined them at Uni and began her freshman year. She's majoring in Literature and plans on joining her LTW career of Entertainment.
The sorority house is only big enough for three bedrooms, so there are 2 girls to each room. Of course, April and Darlene didn't mind sharing a room at all!
Thanks to the double bed in April and Darlene's room, most of the couple's started getting a little more intimate during their junior year. Here we have Luke and Darcy in all their censored blurriness.
And then I saw Darcy run to the bathroom the next evening and found her throwing up in the toilet.
I never heard chymes, but sure enough she's pregnant! Oh great. Since 2 Uni semesters = 1 simday in the normal hood, Darcy won't actually have this baby until simday 27, which is the year after she and Luke graduate from Uni. So that's good at least. She just has to go the rest of her junior and senior years in college being pregnant! That would suck big time.
She told Luke the big news, and he was very shocked at first. I don't think he was expecting to be a daddy or to settle down so soon. He's a Pleasure/Popularity sim, after all.
But since she's already pregnant, no need to worry about woohoo'ing any time they want to. So that's a pleasurable bonus to this whole situation, thinks Luke. Darcy seems to agree.
Not nearly as exciting, but Bree maxed her Games hobby enthusiasm and was awarded with the plaque which does count as points for the challenge.
Let's move on to the boy's fraternity, Var Cham. Here's their little chapter house. Hopefully future generations of Var Cham's will add on to it!
Boys will be boys, and these boys are too lazy to cook, so someone is always running to campus and coming back with a pizza. Yep, sounds like real fraternity life to me.
Unfortunately, since there are only 3 guys in Uni at this time, Luke and Dixon are stuck together with no one but Carter to distract them. Their fighting is really getting on my nerves. I can't wait for them to graduate and live separately!
Now that Sasha was at Uni, Dixon finally had to fess up to his relationship and feelings for Della Harvey. He tried to let her down easy, but poor Sasha was devastated.
It was the saddest break up ever, even though I knew it would happen. It also happened to fit right into the Uni ROS that was rolled, where one couple had to break up. So it must have just been meant to be this way.
After breaking up with his teenage sweetheart, Dixon took his new love to Chestnut Park on campus and made Della his official girlfriend. And as always happens when I take my sims on community lots, it started to rain.
He also decided to fulfill both of their dreams and proposed to Della right then and there.
She said yes, of course. And they both went into platinum aspiration.
Aww, at least Dixon has found his true love. Now I just need to find someone for poor little Sasha.
Back at the frat house, Carter took advantage of his new double bed to have some fun with his girlfriend Bree. Luckily, no pregnancies ensued.
Luke invited Darcy over a lot, and is finally warming up to this whole "baby thing".
Dixon and Della are happily engaged, but will be waiting until after graduation to actually tie the knot. And I didn't take anymore pictures of April and Darlene, but they're both going strong in their relationship, while poor Sasha is still single and alone.
