Round 4: Merrick-Ward
Last time with the Merrick household, Leslie Merrick married her townie love Daniel Ward in a beautiful ceremony held at St. Eclair's Cathedral. They already had two daughters prior to getting married and it didn't take long to add another daughter and an alien son to the family. They all continued skilling as this family tends to do, and many a promotion was had at work for both Daniel and Leslie. Let's see what they can get up to this time around.
The oldest Merrick child is Brooke. She's into skilling and all things knowledge just like her parents. It will be interesting to see if she follows in their footsteps when she gets to pick an aspiration.
Hannah is the next oldest and we're still discovering her new little personality. She is really playful and active, so she should be lots of fun as she gets older. The youngest two kids, Leo and Lindsay Ward, are still babies.
Leslie is still trying to climb the Architecture career ladder. It's her LTW career, so she loves it. She's currently a Foreman at the construction company she works at.
Daniel is still trucking along at the police station where he is currently a Lieutenant.
Let the promotions begin! Leslie is now the Head of the Construction Company.
Brooke is doing great in school. She never misses her homework and all that skilling goes a long way too.
For being a Knowledge sim, Daniel sure does spend a lot of time helping with their brood of children. He especially loves spending time with the babies.
Hannah had a birthday and became a very active child! She's a cutie pie for sure.
Lindsay was the next one to have a birthday and she became an adorable toddler. She's a Sagittarius (2-3-9-7-4) which is very similar to her big sister Hannah's personality. They're not quite clones but only by 3 nice points.
Leo had a birthday too. He's a Virgo (10-3-0-2-10).
It's not quite time for Brooke to become a teen, but you can tell that she's getting close. She spends a lot of time on the phone lately.
With toddlers come toddler training, and having two toddlers at the same time means that Daniel and Leslie are busy little bees!
Hannah is showing her playful personality a lot more now that she's a child. She plays with toys way more than her older sister Brooke ever did.
Of course, that could be because Brooke has always been so interested in skill building. Not a day goes by that she isn't working on one skill or another.
Lindsay might just be her mother's favorite. Leslie can always be found playing with Lindsay, when she's not skilling that is.
The older girls take advantage of the winter season and have some fun time in the snow.
Brooke can be a little feisty at times, and poor Hannah tends to catch the brunt of it.
"What the heck is wrong with that girl?" Hannah thinks, after being hit in the face with a snowball.
Sweet little Lindsay just entertains herself while her older siblings try to kill each other outside.
Daniel makes a correct choice on a chance card and earns a promotion to SWAT Team Leader!
And there it is.
Leslie does well at work on her own and comes home with a promotion to Architect's Apprentice.
With their parents busy at work and skilling, the toddlers tend to be neglected on occasion. Nannies are good for nothing, ya know.
Hannah made a new friend at school. Playable neighbor, Aaron Scott, became her best friend in no time.
Hmmm, could we possibly see a romance blossom between these two in the coming teenage years? They'd sure be cute together.
Another day, another promotion for Leslie. She's now a Draftsman.
Hannah takes over entertaining the toddlers while her parents are busy. She's a good big sister.
She also convinces her big sister Brooke to take some time from skilling to have a little childhood fun, like jumping on the bed!
Brooke has found that she has a love for the outdoors. Nature is her OTH.
Daniel finally maxed all 7 skills and earned his LTW. Hurray! His new LTW is to reach the top of the Military career.
Still working on maxing all of her skills, Leslie goes back and forth between stargazing and then working out once she starts to freeze from the winter weather!
With all of their new promotions this round, Leslie and Daniel were able to redecorate their bedroom. It had never been touched since they moved to town, so it was a welcome change!
And another promotion for Leslie replenished the funds they spent on their new bedroom. She's now an Architect!
And Daniel followed suit with a promotion of his own. He's now the new Police Chief of Bakersfield, but only until he can find a job in the Military.
I thought these two were done having kids, but they had other ideas. Thanks to ACR, Daniel and Leslie will be welcoming baby #5 next round!
Better finish training those toddlers before the new baby comes!
Leo is the cutest little alien. I just realized I gave him the same hair as his father. Woops.
Daniel finally found a job in the Military, his new LTW career choice.
Having maxed all his skills it shouldn't take him long to work his way up to the top. He came home with a promotion on his very first day. He's now a Drill Instructor.
On the last day of the round, Lindsay had another birthday. I think she's my favorite Merrick/Ward kid of them all!
And of course, that means Leo had a birthday too. He's still as handsome as ever!
To celebrate their birthdays, Leslie and Daniel took all the kids to the new ice skating park in town. I'll have to take some pics and show it to you sometime soon.
While the kids got ready for skating, Leslie and Daniel took advantage of their alone time for a little romance. I think they're still my favorite couple in town!
Brooke and Leo had no trouble skating. They are naturals on the ice!
Hannah and Lindsay had a little more trouble with it. Poor Lindsay could barely stay up at all.
Leslie and Daniel decided not to skate, and instead found a quiet little bench to cuddle on while watching all of their kids skate. What a fun family night out!
That's it for the update, but I figured I'd show you this pic to show the three sisters. They look an awful lot a like, but they're definitely not clones. So that's good. I think Leslie and Daniel are in for some trouble once these girls hit their teen years!
